Slane Farm Hostel and cottages are situated on the working dairy farm of Paddy and Joanne Macken and their family. The historic coach house and stables that once belonged to Slane Castle have been respectfully refurbished and converted into a luxury hostel and six self catering cottages which are 4**** approved . The atmosphere is one of simple comforts and easy going familiarity. We hope to help our guests enjoy their stay and make it as comfortable and enjoyable as possible. There are lots of walkways throughout the farm and guests can enjoy their time looking at our farming enterprise or taking a hike to the Hill of Slane or just stroll around the gardens and enjoy the free range eggs from our hens and ducks or picking vegetable from our vegetable garden.
Situated just 2km from the village of Slane and next door to Slane Castle this is an ideal base for travelling around the Boyne Valley which include Newgrane, Battle of Boyne, Mellifont Abbey,Tara, Kells, Navan, Drogheda. The surrounding countryside is deal for the many activities and entertainment venues which are all close at hand.
