Winter update at Slane Farm

We hope you all had a wonderful happy Christmas and wishing you all a very happy 2016.

Slane Farm has had a few months to recharge the batteries after a very busy summer season.

We are making changes to our campsite at the moment, freshing up the cottages.

Michael and James as getting organised for the calving season which begins around the 1st of Feb.

There are alot of bookings coming in for the summer already so get in contact to avoid disappointment.

The campsite will open on the 1st of Feb for those who wish to brave the Irish weather.

We have a new addittion to the family....Lucy! We are trying to get her trained before the busy season.

Group bookings

So everyone is back to school at this stage now its time for the teachers to get booking!

We are taking bookings for end of year trips / histroy trip / activity trips etc for 2016.

Busy summer

We have had such a busy July and Aug so far!


The campsite is so busy with families exploring the Boyne Valley, Funtasia and Tayto Park.


James got a new pup for the farm and he is a big hit!


James called him 'Snoopy' - he is a working dog for the cows.

Michael & James are busy as per usual working away with the cows!

There are looking fantastic!

The sun and rain is great for the fields!




Jack went on his holiday while the concert was on.

He is back now and is delighted with the new fresh long grass in his patch!





A Taste Of Meath is on this weekend and its a fab free family event!

This gives local producers a chance to showcasse there food!

Calving update

Michael and James are about two thirds of the way through the calving season.

To date everything is going very well and there are plenty of healthy happy babies on Slane Farm.

The weather is quite snowy at the moment so extra care and TLC is needed.

Michael and James rotate getting up every few hours during the night to avoid any complications at birth.

Jan update

Jan has been very busy for us so far.

We are busy painting and decorating the cottages.

There are so many bookings coming in already for Foo Fighters in Slane Castle May 2015.

The weather is still cold but we have fab fire in the cottages to keep them toes warm!

Our summer dates are getting booked up pretty quickly so to avoid disappointment please get in contact soon.

We have new packages with 'The War Museum' which is only 15 mins drive from us!

And, as always we still have packages available for Funtasia and Tayto Park!

Santa Claus even made it to Slane Farm as we were so good during the year!

Rafting on the Boyne!

The river Boyne is a wonderful palce for canoeing / rafting whatever takes your fancy!
